Card fraud department scam phone calls

Our industry partner Cuscal that provides our fraud monitoring and detection service for access cards, Vigil, has made us aware of some scam phone calls that have targeted some cardholders.

More specifically, scam callers have been identifying themselves as the "Fraud Department", "Visa Fraud Monitoring team" and "Fraud team in Collins Street Melbourne" in an attempt to coerce a Member to provide their personal, card number and transactional information. 

Keep in mind:

  • Vigil and SERVICE ONE will never attempt to confirm your card's full account number, particularly during an outbound call
  • we will only ever ask to confirm the last 4 digits of the card, and
  • although limited Member information is required to confirm high risk transactions, we will encourage a Member to contact either the number printed on the back of the access card or to contact the card issuer directly if you're unsure or uncomfortable with the legitimacy of the call. 

If you receive a call relating to a SERVICE ONE Alliance Bank access card and you're unsure of anything, terminate the call and feel free to phone us on 1300 361 761 and staff will be able to assist.
