Community Investments

Attention: open in a new window. Print

SERVICE ONE’s Community Investment Program is all about the application of our energy and assets in causes with the intent to generate a measurable, beneficial social or environmental impact alongside a financial return. This is what is commonly referred to as impact investing and is one of the main platforms enabling SERVICE ONE to Do Good.

The key principles SERVICE ONE will use to assess these opportunities include:

  • A strong alignment with SERVICE ONE’s corporate values
  • A clear contribution to communities in regions where SERVICE ONE operates (predominantly the ACT and surrounding NSW)
  • Its relevance to SERVICE ONE Members
  • A sustainable investment that returns invested capital, and
  • Its potential to multiply the effect of the investment.

The Community Investment Program is guided by a Social Enterprise Investment Committee and this Committee is responsible for evaluating causes and project ideas and making recommendations to the SERVICE ONE Board relating to these.
