Am I eligible to open an account?

SERVICE ONE is a customer-owned financial services provider and as such, it is owned by Members, each one of whom is a shareholder. Therefore, when opening a SERVICE ONE Alliance Bank account you must also become a Member. Anyone can become a Member of SERVICE ONE.

How much do I need to deposit to open an account?

The value of the deposit required varies with each account. Please refer to the information on each of the savings and investment products or contact one of our friendly staff who will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

How do I manage my accounts?

You can manage your accounts and pay your bills online, through the App, through in-Branch services - or any combination that suits you.

Internet and mobile banking (including the App) and phoneLink (phone) banking services give you access to your accounts around the clock. This includes:

  • checking the balance of your accounts
  • paying bills via BPAY
  • transferring funds between your SERVICE ONE Alliance Bank accounts
  • transferring funds to other financial institutions (Internet and mobile only)
  • listing your cheque book transactions (Internet and mobile only)
  • obtain interest earned for the last financial year, and
  • order your statements (Internet and mobile only).

What fees are charged and how can I minimise them?

The Schedule of Fees and Charges details all fees that may be applicable to you and you can also refer to information on minimising your fees.

Savings and loan balances with SERVICE ONE Alliance Bank also contribute to your Average Relationship Balance, and this is used to calculate your monthly Fee Allowance to offset everyday withdrawal fees (refer to the Schedule of Fees and Charges for what constitutes a withdrawal).

How do I make deposits to my account?

You can arrange to make deposits to your account either by Direct Credit of payroll or other income, transfer from another savings or transaction account, Internet or telephone banking transfer, over the counter at one of our Branches or at any Australia Post oulet that offers the Bank@Post facility. Are deposits held with SERVICE ONE Alliance Bank Government Guaranteed?

Yes - deposits held with SERVICE ONE Alliance Bank are Government Guaranteed through the Financial Claims Scheme, covering all deposits with Bendigo Bank's network of brands (including Alliance Bank) to a limit of $250,000.

How often will I receive information on my account?

Statements are issued monthly or six monthly. Duplicate statements can be requested at any time from one of our Branches.

Account balances and statements are also available through Internet, mobile and phone banking services.
